At Informed Cosmetics, we know how important a well-balanced skincare routine is. Many of our customers ask themselves: Is the day cream alone enough or can I use other skincare products? The answer is yes - but it all depends on the right combination.
Why supplementary care makes sense
A good day cream is the basis of every skincare routine. It moisturises the skin, protects it from environmental influences and can contain valuable anti-ageing ingredients. However, depending on your skin type and individual needs, it may make sense to use additional products.
Which products optimally complement the day cream?
Serums: These highly concentrated skincare products provide targeted active ingredients such as vitamin C for more radiance or niacinamide to soothe the skin.
Eye cream: The skin around the eyes is particularly delicate and often requires special care to combat dryness or the first wrinkles.
Night cream: While the skin regenerates at night, a richer cream with nourishing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid or ceramides can provide optimal support.
Sun protection: Even if a day cream already contains a sun protection factor, additional sun protection can be important to protect against premature skin ageing and UV damage.
What should I look out for? Not every skin can tolerate several products at once. It is therefore important to gradually introduce new products into the routine and observe the skin's reaction. Sensitive skin in particular can react to too many or mismatched ingredients with irritation.
The bottom line: customised care
A day cream alone can provide a good basis, but if you want to do something good for your skin, you can optimally support it with targeted additional care. The key is to know your own skin needs and tailor the products to them.
